Originally a leader of the Gerudo, a race of desert brigands, he acquired great magical power (the source of which varies) to become a king of darkness. Ganon's motives and desires vary in specifics from game to game, but most often include the domination of Hyrule and presumably the world beyond it. To this end he seeks the relic of the gods known as the Triforce, which can bestow great power upon its holder. Ganon's influence over the Triforce varies, but he is consistently shown as being associated with the Triforce of Power and is often in possession of it, giving him great strength but not enough to fulfill his dark desires, leading him to hunt the remaining Triforce pieces.
In SSBB, Ganondorf's moveset is relatively the same as it was in Melee. His lack of range & priority really hurt him against characters like Ike & Marth. Projectile users like Falco & Wolf can also slowly wittle him down while approaching cautiously to smash him. But mastering the king of evil can be quite satisfying if you can predict what your advarsaries will do in advance and counter with one of the proper moves.
Member's opinions on GanondorfEdit
- Resurgence thinks Ganon is the #1 villain of the whole Nintendo galaxy and with GOOD reason. Everything about him is literally & figuratively EVIL.
- Sonic thinks Ganondorf is a good character, is his favorite Zelda character, and uses him in Brawl, even if he is absolutely awful, but still has a fair amount of villians ahead of him on his list of favorite villians.
- Rey: Gay.
